contest question

So (unless I've been reading it horribly wrong), the schedule says that the cosplay contest goes until 8:30. Is this right, or is this just the length of time the space will be held? I remember it ending earlier last year, like 7 or 7:30, but it's possibly I'm remembering wrong. That whole month was kind of a blur for various reasons.

I hope it doesn't run to late. I don't want to have to choose between the contest and Sweetwater's cask ale festival. Gah, why is everyhting happening on the same day??

It is the length of time we have allocated for the contest. Usually it wraps by 7 or 7:30. Additional is set aside in case of delays or weather issues etc. etc.
